God’s Preparation
The word prepare is found 159 times in the Old and New Testament.
God's preparation is much more ordinary than we would like to think. He uses our ordinary life tasks as preparation for His purpose.
David’s life was pretty ordinary up to this point.
He came from humble beginnings and was the youngest boy. He spent a lot of time alone.
David used his ordinary life to prepare for his future.
He was faithful in the basic things.
He became skilled with the harp by preparing or practicing and it brought him before a king.
He became skilled with his slingshot by preparing or practicing while taking care of his father’s sheep and his preparation not only saved his and his father’s sheep’s lives, but an entire nation’s!
