God Speaks

Day2

Week1

Hebrews 1

“Throughout our history God has spoken to our ancestors by his prophets in many different ways. The revelation he gave them was only a fragment at a time, building one truth upon another. But to us living in these last days, God now speaks to us openly in the language of a Son, the appointed Heir of everything, for through him God created the panorama of all things and all time. The Son is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor, the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of his spoken word. He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins, and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand of the majestic One.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭TPT‬‬

God Speaks

Have you ever heard God speak?

Most of us have not heard the audible voice of God.

God speaks to us in many different ways.

At first He spoke through creation and then throughout the Old Testament we understand that God speaks through His prophets.

Think about receiving an email, text message or even a letter in your mailbox.

When Jesus was born in the earth as a man, but fully God, it was like instead of a letter or even a phone call, He is standing on your doorstep.

God speaks to us openly through the language of a Son.

Do you speak to your child the same way you speak to the plumber?

I hope your child receives a language of love unlike the simplest politeness the plumber receives.

We hear God speak through His Son, Jesus, His Word and His Spirit that lives on the inside of us.

We are joint heirs with Him, which means we have the authority of a son or daughter.

God speaks to us through salvation.

What is He saying?

He is saying that His original desire to be with us has been restored and He loves us.

He extended the authority of His Word to us, His joint heirs, His children.

Isn’t that wonderful?

Action Step

Take your place of authority.

How?

Search God’s Word for a scripture about your concern and speak His promise out loud.

Thank Him for it and spend some time being quiet with Him.

Believe you receive and let God speak through your testimony.
