Week 3
Day3
P.R.A.Y.
A is for Adjustment
This is our third week taking a deep dive into prayer.
Romans 12:3-7
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Humility
Why do we compare our gift with someone else’s?
Most of the time it seems like we look at others and feel less than.
We think or say things like; “They are doing more than me, why can’t I have their gift?” The focus is on self.
This is a form of pride.
We need to humble ourselves and remember that God gave each gift to each one with a special purpose in mind. No gift or person is more than another.
There may be more responsibility with some gifts than others, but we are all held accountable for our own choices and decisions.
Action Step:
Are you using your gift for His purpose?
Have you discovered your purpose and your gifting?
We are called to fulfill our life assignment down to the last detail.
He is faithful to not only reveal, but to equip you to accomplish all He has entrusted you with.
Ask Him.
