Feast

Day1

Week 19

Hebrews 13

”We feast on a sacrifice at our spiritual altar, but those who serve as priests in the old system of worship have no right to eat of it. For the high priest carries the blood of animals into the holiest chamber as a sacrifice for sin, and then burns the bodies of the animals outside the city. And Jesus, our sin-sacrifice, also suffered death outside the city walls to make us holy by his own blood.“

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Feast

Have you ever walked by the window of a restaurant and saw a wonderful meal that made your mouth water?

That feast was not for you, right?

It looked good and maybe you could even smell it, but you had no right to eat it.

The priests under the law or old sacrificial system did not get to eat of the sacrifice.

We have access to a great feast because our Savior, Jesus Christ paid the price for us to eat.

One perfect sacrifice for all time.

He paid an unthinkable price for our feast. He bore our shame outside the city so we don’t have to carry it anymore!

Are there things that you are holding onto that you are ashamed of?

We all have them at one time or another. It doesn’t matter what it is, ( it may be something so insignificant that once you say it out loud you feel silly), whether significant or not, holding onto shame is not beneficial.

Jesus took care of it!

Tell Him what it is and release it to Him, now.

It is difficult to enjoy a feast when your belt is cinched in too tight.

Let go and enjoy all He has at the table for you.

Action Step

Examine your heart and find out if shame is lurking inside.

Without intentionality, we tend to drift. No one ever drifts upstream. We become complacent instead of motivated.

For those of us in Christ, we are called to something more than drifting our way through life.

By searching your heart today you are grabbing a paddle and allowing Holy Spirit to guide you upstream.
