Day3
Week 10
Hebrews 10
”Therefore, brothers, we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way that He has opened for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh, and since we have a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse them from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us firmly hold the profession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to spur one another to love and to good works. Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but let us exhort one another, especially as you see the Day approaching.“

Faith Talks
Profession-an act of declaring that one has a particular feeling or quality, especially when this is not the case.
Declaring is something that needs to be done with our mouth.
Faith talks and talks until the evidence appears.
When is the last time you made a profession of your faith?
Do you know what you actually believe?
Confidence and assurance are mentioned in the above verses.
How confident are you in the promises of God?
I grew up in a denomination where every service we confessed the Apostles Creed.
“I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
Amen.”
Some may consider this practice vain repetition, but I believe that this profession is responsible for my firm faith.
I am confident in what I believe!
Are you?
Action Step
Read the Apostles Creed out loud several times and boldly profess your faith.
Praise God for His faithfulness!
He is coming back soon!
Hold firmly to your profession, by letting your faith talk encouraging someone today.
