Day2
Week21
1Samuel 14
“Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet with his armor bearer behind him. And they fell before Jonathan. And his armor bearer was dealing death blows after him. That first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armor bearer made, was about twenty men within about a half-acre field. There was trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people. The garrison and the raiders also trembled, and the ground quaked. It was the fear of God.”
1 Samuel 14:13-15 MEV

Faith First
Oh taste and see that the Lord is good. Psalm 34:8
Prove me now, if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that you won’t have room enough to contain. Malachi 3:10
Are you in need of something?
Faith always comes first and then the blessings.
Jonathan got up and moved towards the enemy. Then God put fear in the hearts of the people and the warriors.
Saul sat under the pomegranate tree thinking about the situation.
Jonathan acted in faith. He tasted to see if God was good. He made a decision to test the waters and open his mouth towards his enemy.
What are you saying?
Is your mouth tasting to see God’s goodness (talking about God’s promises and past faithfulness) or are you talking about the sourness of your situation?
Action Step
It takes faith to please God.
Name one thing you can do today to move toward your enemy in faith.
Finance- if it doesn’t meet your need, turn it into a seed and sow it. Give first your tithe(10%) and then give to someone or to a cause you believe in.
Health- if you are sick, speak to your body with a healing scripture and then get up.(do something you have not been able to do) maybe just sit up in bed or take one step.
Oppression/Depression-
Speak out against it with a healing scripture from David’s psalms. Then move and do what you don’t want to do, the thing you have been dreading.
Faith works and Jesus Christ never fails!
