Day3
Mark14:55-59
“Now the chief priests and the entire Sanhedrin requested testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none. Many bore false witness against Him, but their testimonies did not agree. Then some rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying, “We heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another not made with hands.’ ” But still their testimony did not agree.”

Did Not Agree
The chief priests and the Sanhedrin were not just religious leaders, but the leading Jewish political parties of their day.
Their is nothing new under the son. Ecclesiastes 1:9
Does this remind you of the political arena of our day? Bringing false testimony against one another to gain power, but the testimonies don’t agree? Taking things out of context to make a point for your own agenda?
Do not be afraid of the happenings in the world today.
Jesus did not leave us without help. We have the Holy Spirit living inside us. He wants to comfort us, but we have to create an atmosphere of peace by what we give attention to.
We must be careful where we put our attention.
Are you constantly watching the news, or listening to programs about politics?
“But I need to be prepared, I need to know what is going on!”
God will tell you what you need to know, when you need to know. There are many stories in the Bible where He did just that.
They did not have 24 hr. news feeds and yet God was able to protect and direct them.
Spend your time with Jesus in prayer, by listening to uplifting faith preaching, studying your Bible, and in stillness just listening for Him and enjoying His presence.
God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit will always agree.
Give your heart a rest and spend your free time with them.
