Desire
Our physical senses are very powerful.
Have you ever wanted something or someone so badly, but you knew it or he/she was not good for you?
What did you do?
I can admit that I have indulged my desire more times than not.
Maybe with food or an impulse buy and even with a relationship.
Maybe you inserted your opinion in a matter even though you knew better.
Usually we reason, “Surely you didn’t mean this, it tastes, smells or feels so good!”
When God instructs you in a matter, it is wise to obey Him every time.
He sees things we can not see and He loves us.
Just like your parents warn against eating all the candy at once because they know you will get sick.
Listen to the directions of the Lord.
Action Step
What is God warning you about today?
Ask Him for His help to ignore your desires and come into agreement with His desires.
Set your mind on things above, so that you can obey and be successful.
