Mindful
-conscious or deliberately aware of something.
Most of the time we are mindful of the world we live in. We are thinking about our culture here on earth. The pain we feel, the financial situation, our relationship with each
other or lack of one…
We are not much different than Peter, who rebuked Jesus. Peter thought he was doing a good thing. He was defending his friend.
Peter was mindful of this world, but Jesus was mindful of the Kingdom of God.
Jesus was trying to teach the disciples a new way of thinking. God’s way of thinking.
God’s ways are not like our ways.(Isaiah 55:8-9)
To be mindful of God, we have to renew our mind, change the way we think.
Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. ... Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
What are you mindful of today?
I have included 2 links that I found helpful with renewing our mind to the things of God and taking each thought captive.
Enjoy.
