Day1
Mark 15:33-34
“For three hours, beginning at noon, darkness came over the earth. About three o’clock, Jesus shouted with a mighty voice in Aramaic, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?”—that is, “My God, My God, why have you turned your back on me?””

Darkness
It was 12:00 noon and it was dark.
Have you ever been in a storm in the middle of the day and it was dark?
This darkness that they experienced was complete darkness like back in Egypt during the plague of darkness. It was black as night.
What storm are you facing right now?
Do you feel alone in the dark?
The darkness of physical or emotional pain?
The darkness of financial pressure?
The darkness of indecision?
At 3:00pm When Jesus cried out to the Father, He felt alone and forsaken, but as He cried out the darkness lifted.
When we cry out to our Father in heaven, the darkness disappears and the light fills us.
Jesus is that light. He overcame darkness on the cross so we don’t have to.
We are not meant to live in the storms of life in darkness. The storms will come and clouds of trials will try to block out the light, but Jesus is the light and He lives inside every born again believer through His Holy Spirit.
Hold fast to your confession of faith.
The sailors of old would tattoo those words across their fingers so that as they gripped the hand rails of the ship they would be reminded to hold fast. This is how they endured the storms.
We hold fast to our faith in Jesus and study His promises.
He overcame darkness so you don’t have to dwell there!
He will Hold Me Fast
