Day3
Week3
Hebrews 3
“There your fathers tested me and tried my patience even though they saw my miracles for forty years they still doubted me! This ignited my anger with that generation and I said about them, ‘They wander in their hearts just like they do with their feet, and they refuse to learn my ways.’ My heart grieved over them so I decreed: ‘They will not enter into my rest!’ ” So search your hearts every day, my brothers and sisters, and make sure that none of you has evil or unbelief hiding within you. For it will lead you astray, and make you unresponsive to the living God.”

Daily Check Up
Warning #3! Unbelief.
Did you know that there are only 2 kinds of unbelief?
Lack of knowledge
Lack of trust
Can you guess what the cause for them both are?
Surprise!
The root cause of unbelief is simply fear.
No worries, friend. Both causes are curable.
Do you have a wandering heart and wandering feet?
You are not in this alone.
What is the answer ?
What can we do?
A daily check up is in order.
None of us knows everything about everything and even if we think we know, Paul said that the more he found out, the more he was convinced that he knew very little in comparison to our great Father in heaven.
So, how do we overcome a lack of knowledge?
First things first.
Admit that you don’t know the answer and sometimes not even the right question.
God lifts up the humble.
Open the Word of God and ask your Father to guide you. Whatever you are facing, He knows and He is faithful.
God is love.
Perfect love casts out fear.
The best way I know to develop trust is to look at the track record of the one you wish to trust.
Spend a little time remembering how God has come through for you in the past.
Write it down.
Revisit the stories from God’s Word of His faithfulness.
Thank Him for all of it one by one.
God dwells in the praises of His people and in His presence is fullness of joy.
Lack is fear in disguise and fear can not stand in God’s presence and a daily check up of your faith will crush any trace of lack or fear in your life.
God has no lack or fear and therefore neither do we!
Action Step
Admit and admire!
2 simple steps for your daily check up of faith.
