Courage To Pray

Day3

Week11

2 Samuel

““Now, Lord God, confirm forever the word that You spoke regarding Your servant and his house and do as You have spoken. May Your name be magnified forever by saying, ‘The Lord of Hosts is God over Israel,’ and may the house of Your servant David be established before You. “For You, O Lord of Hosts, God of Israel, have revealed a word to Your servant, saying, ‘I will build you a house.’ Therefore, Your servant has found the courage to pray this prayer to You. Now, Lord God, You are God, and Your words are true. You have spoken this good message to Your servant. Now, be resolved and bless Your servant’s dynastic house, so that it may stand before You forever. You, Lord God, have spoken, and with Your blessing, the house of Your servant will be blessed forever.””

‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7‬:‭25‬-‭29‬ ‭MEV‬‬

Courage To Pray

Do you have courage to pray bold prayers?

Sometimes our prayers sound more like begging and pleading, don’t they?

David heard a word from God and, therefore he had courage to pray boldly declaring the promise of God.

We have The Word of God. Do we know what it says?

Read Deuteronomy 28 and take a look at the blessing and the curse.

Jesus paid it all! No need to beg. Stand firm on the promise and boldly go before the throne of Grace declaring His Word with thanksgiving and praise!

Action Step

We are each responsible to seek Him for ourselves.

In order to put on the whole armor of God, you have to know where to find it.

In order to use the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, you have to read it, hear it and meditate on it so that it fills your heart.
