Claim Your Reward


The custom of the times for the battle between David and Goliath allowed for the victorious army to claim their reward from the enemy camp. “The spoil”.


David collected Goliath’s armor for himself and took his head as proof to King Saul of his rightful reward.


Sounds gross to think about it, but this was the only way to prove that David was in fact the boy who accepted the challenge and won.


What giant are you facing today?

Jesus has already taken care of the bloody battle!

We don’t have to get our hands dirty.


Have you considered the reward?

You may be thinking,” I thought my reward was getting to go to heaven someday.”

Yes that is true, but only the beginning!
