Day2
Week24
1Samuel 15
“When Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, “Saul came to Carmel and set himself up a monument. Then he turned and has passed on down to Gilgal.” Samuel came to Saul. And Saul said to him, “Blessed are you of the Lord. I have carried out the word of the Lord.” Samuel said, “Then what is the sound of this flock of sheep in my ears? And the sound of the cattle which I am hearing?””

Busted
We can not hide anything from God!
This reminds me of a child with chocolate around his mouth answering their Mom. “Did you eat the chocolate I told you not to eat before dinner?”
“No , Mommy.”
What has God instructed you to do or to stop doing?
Is their chocolate on your face?
Obedience take’s humility.
In order to do what God asks us to do, we have to die to what we want.
Our selfish desires are full of sin.
I am not suggesting that everything we want is evil and God is against us.
What I am saying is that most of the time our thinking is not lined up with God’s.
He is always right and He is always looking out for our good.
Partial obedience or doing part of what God instructs is really disobedient.
Saul thought he knew better than God. He thought that keeping the wealth of the enemy was a wise choice.
It is very important that we follow God’s Word.
Not legalistically, but in relationship. When we seek first the Kingdom and his righteousness, then all will be added.
Obedience first, then the blessings will be automatic.
Action Step
Is there something that God has been dealing with you about?
Do it now. Take action!
Humble yourself before God and repent.
He is faithful and He will lift you up.
