Blessing of Faith

Blessings have been traditionally handled down for generations.

I recently came across a prayer by John Robinson, the pastor that prayed over my ancestors William and Susanna White in 1620 as they set sail on The Speedwell to meet The Mayflower in South Hampton, England and voyage across to America.

They began with a corporate fast, “Let us seek of God, a right way for us and our little ones, and for all our substance.”

This blessing of faith is quite lengthy and I have included a link if you wish to read the whole thing, but I will paraphrase here;

“I charge you before God and His angels…. That you follow the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord has more truth yet to break forth out of His Holy Word.

…I beseech you… be ready to receive whatever truth shall be made known to you from the Word of God.” John Robinson

By faith we can declare a blessing of faith over our lives and our children’s lives unto future generations.

Are you ready to receive whatever truth is made known to you from the Word of God?

Action Step

What blessing of faith can you pass on?

Write it down and bless someone with it.
