Be Careful Little Ears

Day1

Week14

2 Samuel

“But the Ammonite officials said to Hanun, their Lord, “Has David honored your father in your eyes by sending comforters to you? Was it not in an effort to search out the city, to scout it in order to overthrow it, that he sent his servants to you?” So Hanun seized the servants of David, shaved half of the beard of each, cut their robes in half so that they were exposed, and sent them away.”

‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭10‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭MEV‬‬

Be Careful Little Ears

If you listen to the wrong advice you will end up in a pickle.

Be careful little ears what you hear. This seems like silly advice from a children’s song, but do not be too quick to dismiss it.

Who has your ear?

Faith comes by hearing and so does fear. Bad advice can seem desirable. If we listen long enough we may become confused.

Tune your ear to God and check yourself. Does what you are hearing line up with the Word of God?

As we continue through the story this week, we will find out just how dangerous listening to the wrong people can be.

Action Step

“But my God shall supply your every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭MEV‬‬

God notices you and He cares!

Bring your needs to Him and ask Him to provide them and that includes the need for wise advice.

Thank Him in advance for meeting your needs!
