Battalion

Day2

Mark15:15-16

“Because he wanted to please the people, Pilate released Barabbas to them. After he had Jesus severely beaten with a whip made of leather straps and embedded with metal, he sentenced him to be crucified. The soldiers took Jesus into the headquarters of the governor’s compound and summoned a military unit of nearly six hundred men.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭15:15-16‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Battalion

There are approximately 600 men in a Roman army battalion.

Jesus was already beaten close to death.

Why did Pilate summon an entire battalion for this prisoner, Jesus?

Seems a bit excessive, right?

I think it was wisdom. Pilate knew the controversy over this Jesus character and he witnessed Him up close and personal. Jesus was peculiar. He did not defend Himself.

Pilate must have sensed the power within Jesus and the fear of Jesus actually being the Son of God.

We have all the authority and power that Jesus has as the Risen Savior. We have access to the very throne of God!

Not even an entire battalion can stop that kind of power!

Do you believe it?

Are you acting like you believe it in your everyday life?

We have all power and authority given to us through the name which is above every name to carry out God’s plan and purpose for our life!

Matthew 28:18-19, Philippians 2:9.

What name are you allowing to rule over you?

Sickness, disease, pain, fear, anxiety, lack, addiction, depression…These are all names of circumstances we face and Jesus’ name is above all names! In Jesus name , declare victory over your circumstances!

Go forth!
