Astonished beyond measure.
Sometimes it is difficult to see God when we are looking through the lens of our own way of thinking.
With man it is impossible.
We can not see an answer to our dilemma looking through that lens.
With God all things are possible.
Do you really believe that?
The lens of my glasses have to be cleaned off multiple times in a day. They get smudged, smeared, dusty… it is impossible to see unless I clean them.
We have to clean the lens of our thinking many times a day also or it will be impossible to see God’s way.
God’s ways are opposite our ways.
A servants heart, humble.
Choosing to allow others to go first.
Choosing to be ridiculed rather than be right. Choosing to give to others in need when you feel like you are the one who needs.
Choosing to forgive when they don’t deserve it.
Jesus tells us in this passage that whatever we give up for the gospel’s sake we will receive back 100 times as much, now in this age, ( warning) with persecution, and in the age to come we will receive eternal life.
Looking through our own lens, we usually see getting our own needs met, just enough and then on to the next need.
God’s lens is abundance for His children.(100 times what you give up).
Seek Him first and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33.
Are you ready to be astonished beyond measure?
