Day1
Psalm 107:17-18
“Some of us were such fools, bringing on ourselves sorrow and suffering all because of our sins. Sick and feeble, unable to stand the sight of food, we drew near to the gates of death.”

Fools
Are you a fool today?
We don’t like to think we are. It is easy to read a verse like this and pass over it thinking that we know someone who this applies to.
Lord, help us to take a look at our own life today, right now and recognize our own pitfalls.
Do not misunderstand me here. I am not saying that every affliction is because we messed up. The enemy of our soul is continually accusing us and trying to stop us from proclaiming the Gospel. What these scriptures are alluding to is that sometimes we bring things on ourselves because of choices we make.
The Holy Spirit deals with each one individually and He gently rebukes us when we have stumbled.
Remember Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
Romans 8:1 MEV
We may feel the symptoms of guilt even when we are not guilty. That is not from God, God is not the accuser of the brethren, satan is! Revelation 12:10.
Be very careful to discern correction from accusation.
The scripture refers to loathing all manner of food. Think of food here as the Word of God. Are you avoiding reading it? Are you dreading going to church? Are you slothful in prayer time?
These are symptoms of spiritual sickness or disobedience.
Recognize it and correct it by crying out to God who is faithful and just to forgive you and nurture you back to health!
Are you a fool today?
Repent and be whole in Jesus name!
