An Uproar!

Day1

Mark 14:1-2

“Two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the leading priests and religious scholars were committed to finding a way to secretly arrest Jesus and have him executed. They agreed that their plot could not succeed if they carried it out during the days of the feast, for they said, “There could be a riot among the people.””

An Uproar!

There was no getting out of causing an uproar! During these high holy days , around 250,000 people would travel to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover and The Feast of Unleavened Bread. Jesus popularity was wide spread.

Jesus was usually the cause of an uproar everywhere He went because of His powerful teaching and miraculous healing ministry.

If we are going to be followers of Christ, then we can not go with the flow.

There will be an uproar!

Our friends, family, coworkers, and even acquaintances will be effected by the choices we make to follow Christ.

Going with the flow of the river will always lead you down stream. Only dead fish go with the flow. Think about it. Living fish are swimming up stream, side to side, or sometimes down stream, but living fish are never just laying around floating by allowing the current to take them where it will.

Living fish are active. They keep swimming no matter what storms are on the horizon. Sometimes they even jump for joy out of the water and back in.

Living for Jesus will create an uproar.

Have you been going with the flow?

It’s time for an uproar!
