Day2
Week17
1Samuel 10
“Samuel told the people the ordinances of the kingdom, and wrote them in a book, and laid them up before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house. Saul also went home to Gibeah. And there went with him a band of valiant men whose hearts God had touched. But some worthless men said, “How will this man save us?” And they despised him, and did not bring him a present. But he remained silent.”

A Posse

Are you surrounded with people who encourage you, and have like minds and purpose?
God does not intend for us to be alone! We are designed to live in community with other like-minded believers!
Notice that there were some “worthless” men who did not support Saul and spoke doubt and fear about him.
Saul chose to keep his mouth shut and surround himself with those God had prepared for him to build him up and encourage him.
