A List
We have determined the purpose for our corporate fast.
The purpose of our fast is for wisdom, understanding, revelation knowledge and direction for this group.
However, I want you to have all the information you need for your next fast if you determine to make one.

R-is for:
Reliance
Click these links to review our study on relience in prayer from a year ago or continue past them for todays lesson.
RELY on God. He is faithful to His word and we are in covenant with Him. He loves you. Put your trust in Him. Build up your faith by praying in the Holy Spirit until you are fully persuaded that you can rely on God. Let Him become your only source!
Step3.
Decide The Purpose
A common question many have when it comes to fasting is: When should you fast? Some reasons for fasting:
Fast when you are seeking the direction of the Lord.
Fast when you haven’t received an answer to your prayer.
Fast for deliverance (breaking the yoke of bondage).
Fast on behalf of a friend who is under a heavy burden (to receive insight into their situation or for their deliverance from oppression).
It is important to believe that you receive the promise before your fast begins.
We walk by faith and not by sight. This is faith and without it, it is impossible to please God.
Reliance takes faith. We must be fully persuaded that God will do what He promised in His Word.
But how do we become fully persuaded?
Make a list of your needs.
I know, you might think,”Is that really necessary?”
No, it’s not, but it is helpful to write down your concerns and take them to the Lord one by one.
You may categorize your needs into topics such as; 1.spiritual,
2.physical or
3.financial
This may help you organize your thoughts.
There are no concerns that are too small or too big.
Perhaps you need a godly friend, a new job, your children are not walking with the Lord, you wish to get out of debt, a closer walk with Jesus or maybe you desire revelation knowledge or deliverance from depression or a physical healing.
Whatever the need, make a list. Get it on paper and take a look at your list.
Pray and ask God which concern needs immediate attention.
Choose 1 thing and find the promises in God’s Word that cover your situation.
I find it helpful to do a google search.
1.Open up google on your phone or computer and type in the search bar “scriptures on wayward children” for example. 2.Press enter and scroll to see which result you trust. 3.Write down the scriptures and look them up in your Bible.
This gives you ammunition for your faith.
Action Step
Work on making a list and looking up scriptures.
