Day3
Mark15:17-20
“And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, and began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews! And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him. And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.”

A Crown of Thorns
Genesis 3:17-18 “To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.”
Genesis 3:17-18 NIV
Adam brought a curse on the land by his disobedience. Before this there were no thorns, thistle or weeds. No toil. The earth produced vegetation without struggle.
Jesus accepted the crown of thorns knowing that those thorns represented the curse of the law brought on by the first “Adam”.
Jesus is the second “Adam”. He is the perfect Son of God. He obeyed His Father down to the smallest detail.
That crown of thorns was significant!
Jesus conquered all! Even the thorns in our lives.
Even the most insignificant little pesky details.
We can have victory in every area of our lives.
Name your thorns and bring them to Jesus.
He suffered so you don’t have to. No more toiling!
Stop it! Give it all to Jesus!
We have victory in Jesus!
