Pray
There are so many things to pray about. Oftentimes I start to pray and the cares of my life speak so loudly that I am distracted and my prayers are left un-prayed.
It is interesting that Paul is asking them to pray that the Lord’s message is received and will spread rapidly.
I do not recall ever praying for that.
What about you?
That is an excellent prayer and it is most definitely in agreement with God’s Word.
When we begin to pray like that, the focus is off of ourselves.
God already knows what we have need of before we ask.
James 4:3
Yet even when you do pray, your prayers are not answered, because you pray just for selfish reasons.
Praying is sowing seeds. I think it would be wise for us to examine what kind of seeds we are sowing?
We may be growing a garden full of selfish desires.
At harvest time, I want to reap a harvest pleasing to God and not just myself.
What kind of garden pleases God?
A garden full of souls.
Let us pray and sow seeds for the Kingdom.
When our motives are pure, we understand that God already is taking care of everything we need.
He loves us.
