Day2
1 Thessalonians 3:7-10
“So, our dear brothers and sisters, in the midst of all our distress and difficulties, your steadfastness of faith has greatly encouraged our hearts. We feel alive again as long as we know that you are standing firm in the Lord. How could we ever thank God enough for all the wonderful joy that we feel before our God because of you? Every night and day we sincerely and fervently pray that we may see you face-to-face and furnish you with whatever may be lacking in your faith.”

Joy
I was given a picture recently of the fruit of the Spirit.
This picture describes Galatians 5:22-23 differently than I had thought about it before.
Love is displayed at the top and the other 8 are in circles underneath it.
God is love. (1 John 4:8)
I always read this passage with love being one of the fruit’s, an attribute.
Now it makes sense that love is the fruit or Love is the Spirit. Everything after is an attribute or character of Love(God) the Holy Spirit.
This picture has phrased it uniquely.
We are talking about joy today, so I will use that example from my picture.
It reads:
Joy is Loves strength.
Let that sink in a minute.
The joy of the Lord is my strength. This is more familiar to me, but when reminded that love is not a feeling. Love is a person. Joy then, is also not a feeling.
Love gives us joy when we share Him. This joy is powerful! It is lasting.
True strength to outlast every battle we face comes from Love. The supply is endless and the only way to be filled up is by sharing our victories with each other.
Joy is Love’s strength!
Be full of joy today by telling someone how they have helped you.
Tell someone about Jesus and how He has changed your life!
I promise you your joy will be full and you will have strength to overcome any obstacles!
Joy is Love’s strength!
