2 Samuel
“After this, the king of the Ammonites died, and Hanun his son reigned in his stead. David said, “I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me.” So David sent a message by way of his servants to comfort him concerning his father, and the servants of David went to the land of the Ammonites.”

An Act Of Kindness
The Bible mentions “kindness” in over two-hundred instances and “kind” over four-hundred times. It’s an act of charity, or the lifting up (figuratively) of others. God’s word offers wisdom for threading this godly attribute into our lives, even when disagreeing.
Kindness is included in the description of love found in
1 Corinthians 13.
We live in a world dominated by disagreements. Sometimes it is hard to show kindness, right?
David wanted to offer kindness where he had once received kindness. That is how we naturally respond. We show kindness when it has been extended to us.
Jesus goes much further. He shows kindness in all circumstances including to His enemies.
How much would this world full of disagreements be changed if we could follow Jesus example more often than not?
